THE SUN IS OUT – HIP, HIP, HIP, HOORAY
We were so lucky with our weather on Saturday in my part of Essex – glorious. There were blue skies, sun and warmth – simply lovely.
I don’t know about you, but it always amazes me how much energy I have when this happens and how much I can do, how creative I can be… Also how much pleasure I take in the simple things – even if they can be a little tiring i.e. mowing the lawn – and seeing others smiling.
Life seems so much better, easier, lighter and happier when the weather is good – even with all the craziness going on here regarding Brexit!
If you are caught up in bad weather, Brexit or perhaps more, I’ve found this little poem that I want to share with you. I hope it will put a smile on your face which is always a good thing – never mind that it helps us look younger!
A Prayer for the Stressed
Grant me the serenity to accept things I cannot change,
The courage to change things I cannot accept
And the wisdom to hide the bodies of those people I had to kill today because they pissed me off!
Also please help me to be careful of the toes I step on today as they may be connected to the ass I may have to kiss tomorrow.
Help me to always give 100% at work – 12% on Monday, 23% on Tuesday, 40% on Wednesday, 20% on Thursday, 5% on Friday
And finally, help me to remember – when I am having a REALLY BAD DAY and it seems that people are trying to piss me off, help me to remember that it takes 42 muscles to frown and only 4 to extend the arm and smack the arsehole in the mouth.
