It’s the holidays – the schools have all broken up.
Now the panic starts for something to do during those long summer weeks off. What will we do? How will we fill the 8 weeks? What will the weather be like? Will we be able to simply have fun – walking, playing, swimming, visiting friends, having treats, etc? Help!
Then, if we’re able to book a holiday away – whether abroad (to ensure the sun and long warm evenings) or here in the UK, there’s so much to do beforehand for some; cleaning the house, buying holiday clothes, checking holiday clothes, remembering tickets or routes, packing, making lists … Then once we get there, there’s 5 days to relax and have some fun before it’s time to come home again (if on a 7 days’ break).
When we come home, there’s the unpacking, washing and ironing to do, before putting away all those summer clothes that we’ll probably not wear again until next year – total exhaustion! Well, I’m exhausted just thinking about it anyway. Then there’s the telling all and sundry – yes we had a lovely time, thank you. The weather could have been better/was fantastic. We did so and so, and then so and so, until their eyes glaze over.
At least that’s one week sorted, now just the other 7!
What are we to do? Well, make plans for the next holiday of course!
Whatever you choose to do I hope you have a fantastic time and if you’re staying in the UK at least our weather is finally sunny and warm!
