You know the old one of how we look is important? Well I’ve just been informed that there will be a talk and workshop on Nicholas Roerich, known as the Messenger of Beauty, who was a Russian artist, archaeologist, explorer, philosopher, humanist and peace activist. In a talk in the 20’s called “The Spiritual Garment”, he emphasised that “apart from an external beauty, dress has a deep intrinsic meaning”.
So it could be useful to reflect on what you associate with, or what (to you) might express the idea of “the spiritual garment”.
I find it quite fascinating as it is still in line with how we make ourselves visible in the world.
