Don’t give up on your dreams and settle for second best. Don’t let life beat you down. It’ll kill your spirit.
I’ve realised that I could be talking to myself here! And I’m also talking to you, all you mature women out there.
I’ve worked so hard as a Life Coach, Psychologist and social media novice (with a lot of help and support from wonderful women) to get my upcoming course off the ground, The Visible Woman Retreat, and have recently been lucky enough to start seeing some reward for all my efforts, with women signing up and taking advantage of my early bird offer (still available until 28th September). My weekend workshop is a marvellous opportunity for women to take time for themselves, be courageous to see just where and who they are in life, and to step up to the mark in order to develop and grow within themselves.
When you feel like this yourself and have times of doubt, find some people who do value you. Let them listen to what’s going on for you right now – let them encourage you with their words. More valuable than wealth, and far more useful than designer handbags, are the people who bring the laughter, support, and commitment to your life. These are the ones who have kept me going as I’ve fluctuated between “everything will work out fine” and “might as well let go of it”.
Don’t you give up. Look in the mirror and tell yourself “I am good enough. I’m a feisty woman and I still have much to offer life”. Most importantly “I love you”.
Remember the happiness that’s bubbling away inside of you, your inner smile. It’s simply waiting to come out. Be yourself – regardless of the circumstances you’re in. Yes, take that deep breath and then carry on.
At my Visible Woman Retreat I offer you the chance to be amongst like-minded women who have the knowledge that just because they are in their mid-years, it doesn’t mean letting go of hopes, dreams and visions. Together we’ll have fun in learning from one another, meeting and enjoying new faces, and of course we’ll be fed, watered and can let go of making the beds!
