Wow – they’re finally here! Yes, The London Olympics 2012 – with all that entails – the crowds, the fun, the thrill of the competition plus the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
We’re so lucky to have it in the UK. The events are being held throughout the country, but mainly based in Stratford, East London. We’re really lucky where I live as one of the events (mountain biking) is actually going to be here, and even better my family all have tickets for it. Bring it on, I say!
We can only achieve so much in our lifetime. There will always be those who can run faster, jump higher, swim quicker and so on and therefore will be picked to represent their country at the Olympics. Let’s celebrate all their achievements – regardless of the end results. They’ve all worked, trained and focused so hard for their individual events. Now it’s their time!
We are all part of this occasion. We are all inter-connected. So let’s all enjoy what happens. Let’s raise the roof with our cheering, clapping, shouting, encouragement, groans and plenty of flag waving.
