“It’s not about breaking through the glass ceiling, it’s about building your own home” – Irene Brankin
In my way of thinking, there is no glass ceiling. It’s only the way we look at life. It’s our perception.
Yes, others may, and will impose limits on your abilities. But you, and I know that you can do that easily enough yourself.
You know your own inner voices that come up whenever you intend to stretch yourself or face your fear of standing up and being counted. Some of the voices may say something like – “It’s okay for them because … they’ve got more money than me; are more clever than me; have more confidence than me” or “I’m not good enough; I’m too busy; I can’t make a difference; why bother; who do I think I am?”
I could go on, but I’m sure you know what your inner voices tend to say in these kind of situations.
Forget about the energy you’re using up trying to break through the glass ceiling. You need to come back to yourSelf – your own home. You need to turn inward instead of outward. When you are aligned with yourSelf, you will know that you have unique talents and you’re just fine as you are.
From this place, you’ll experience the freedom to live life more easily. You can handle, and are handling whatever life throws at you.
Enjoy building your inner home.
