We all need support in life, when we have our ups and downs or feel lost and overwhelmed. One of the first steps is to ask for help from our close friends and family. But I want to remind you that inside you is your ‘Wise Woman’, your ‘spirit’, your ‘inner voice’ that you were born with. When you take the time to be still and listen to your intuition about people, situations and life, this will offer you the guidance you need.
I know for me when I’ve told other people about my fears at that time of my life, whether it be an argument with my husband or an important meeting at work (whatever is centre stage in my life at that moment), and then later when I meet them again and they ask how is it now, I get puzzled. For a brief moment I don’t know what they’re asking me about. My answer usually is, “Oh it was fine” (whatever it was I was afraid of) “no problems”. I had obviously made some issue so large; it was clouding my own inner voice.
On occasions, our troubles can nudge us to a different way of being in life. They can teach us different things – things we didn’t know, and help bring about new awareness of ourselves and others. We may ask “How am I going to get through this? or “Why me?” And sometimes we’ll want to give up. Remember you’re on your side! When you get a chance, remember all your successes and blessings from your past and breathe into them. This could even be just before going to sleep, just to have that opportunity of recalling them.
Don’t give up easily – particularly during those hard times. If you feel you’re having trouble keeping your dreams alive – stop, take a breather, get some rest, take time out for a while, listen to your Wise Woman and then you’ll get your 2nd wind.
I’d love to hear when you had what seemed like insurmountable issues in your life, and how you dealt with them.
