In spite of all you’ve been doing or have still to do, do you sometimes have a lovely feeling inside which brings a smile to your face at different times in your day?
What could be going on? I haven’t a clue with regard to you. For me, with no rhyme or reason, it’s about feeling happy with myself and the world, in spite of all that’s going on in the media and elsewhere.
Cherishing today
I guess what I’m saying is that it’s about cherishing today and not bothering yourself about tomorrow. Maybe I could also say that it’s about being at peace with yourself regardless of the actual difficulties and situations you are facing!!
Voice
It’s about giving yourself permission to allow in this feeling in spite of the voice that says –
Why?
What about a, b, x, y and z?
Come down to earth and see reality………….
You’ve got your head in the clouds!
Life is difficult!
Stop smiling!!
You’re not as ……. as others
And so on
Inner Smile
I call this my ‘Inner Smile’ or the smile within that can also show as a small smile without too. It’s about gratitude – helping me to have a celebration of life, my life and my appreciation of what I am rather than what I am not.
I trust myself and my smile within because I accept myself knowing I have still so much to learn and to give and I give thanks for all I’ve received.
And You?
So that’s me sharing about me and what about you? I’d love to know if you are able to keep extending yourself with acceptance, gentle understanding, compassion and without judgement knowing that life is a big experience – like a roller coaster with ups and downs, pain and joy, laughter and tears and fear and excitement? In my opinion you see, that’s when your inner smile can be there regardless!
Your emotional fitness and resiliency helps you to let go of your expectations and also to grieve your losses. THIS IS LIFE!!
I’d like to finish with this saying as I think it’s appropriate for my blog.
“Most people are about as happy in life as they make up their minds to be” Abraham Lincoln

Hi Kay, How kind to take the trouble to comment and thank you for what you’ve said xx
Love the reference to the inner smile. I feel such gratitude for the beauty that surrounds me, it does indeed give me an inner smile.
Great post to read on a Sunday and to reflect on what gifts we have been blessed with.
Thanks, Jacqui, for your lovely words and I know my inner smile uplifts me too. I also love your writings xx
