I’ve just had one of those lovely weekends where there were a lot of coincidences and lots of truly nice people around.
We went to the theatre in London. There were two seats left beside us at the end of our row and who should sit there but a lovely woman from Glasgow with her Nottingham partner. We found out we had a lot in common, and then that her birthday was the same as my husband’s, which was the reason we were all there in the first place!
The following morning when waiting in the long breakfast queue at our Hotel, we started speaking with the couple in the queue ahead of us. The man turned out to be originally from the same area in Glasgow as I am. It was a great way to pass 20 minutes (don’t even ask why) waiting , laughing, commenting and reminiscing.
Other things happened too which made me smile and one of them is the realisation again that if you take the risk to speak (be visible), others respond in kind – even on the underground, in lifts and in the theatre. And this was London!
Are you doing your bit this week to be visible in your life?
