Instead of wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen, I say put in Stockholm!
I’ve just had a great three days in Stockholm at the weekend – the weather was lovely and sunny, the group were so open and gracious, and I had lovely colleagues alongside me.
The generosity of all was heart warming as I was invited (along with my colleagues) to a celebration of the end of their course on the Friday evening where everyone prepared delicious food to share. Then on the Saturday evening we were invited to a colleague’s home for yet again more delicious food, finishing on the Sunday evening where we attended an Art Exhibition. I want to say thank you to everyone, they were all such lovely experiences.
We all took the time to participate more fully in one another’s lives in the sharing of, not only the food and drink, the joy and laughter, but by being part of something bigger than each of us individually. There was the added excitement about experiencing something new outside of our normal way of relating.
Each time we step outside of the norm and take risks (however small or big), it can be exhilarating. This is what gives the added “frisson” or passion to our world.
So remember to say “Yes” to all those opportunities in your life that you might miss when you can’t be bothered because you’re too tired or whatever.
Be open to life itself.
