A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ONE AND ALL
Here we are coming to the end of 2015 and moving towards the start of 2016 so I want to wish you all – A Happy, Healthy and Peaceful New Year.
Our World
Help!! Time has just flown by for me. I am aware that some of you may have wanted it to go even quicker as on a global level, there have been lots of distressing happenings to be part of, watch, hear and simply know about. And I know that this has been so on a local level too.
Many people have taken action (physically, financially, socially) to deal with things whether on local or global level and I applaud you for looking at the effects on us individually, nationally and globally and doing something about it.
Our world needs people like you to enable it to stay alive and function in a way that sustains us all.
Our Legacy – Yours and Mine
I want us (you and me) to live our Legacy now because what we do right now contributes to our legacy. This may even inspire others – even if we’re not aware of it. And that doesn’t even have to matter as you can still be an inspiration to others by quietly going about your business simply be being yourself. Not many have the courage to do that!
Remember it is YOUR New Year as well as everyone else’s so remember to include all of you in 2016 particularly your uniqueness – there is no one else like you! Look at the journey you have had in order to get to this place now. Your inspiration is you – yes, you. This is your reality.
Not only one way
Saying all I’ve said at the beginning, it’s time for you to love yourself first, before all the rest. When you love and value yourself, you become aware that you are someone who has a right to express your uniqueness in however and whatever way you want – whether out there fighting the wrongs of the world, financially contributing to different charities, writing about them or simply acknowledging you are doing the best you can in your own way. There is not only one way. You have a choice in your expression of you.
Be grateful for your life and live it trusting in your uniqueness (even if it is ‘Acting As If’ at times) as you so deserve to be here.
A saying that resonates with me
A saying that particularly resonates with me (as most of you will know as it’s in my book and on my website):
“There is no passion to be found in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living”
Nelson Mandela
What’d you say about you and me going with that one for 2016? I’m up for it!
Looking forward to you still being part of my life next year.

Love this article! If only more people actually practiced the art of loving themselves instead of just talking about it, I really feel that we could make some significant changes in the world through thought and emotions alone.
Thank you, Garth, for your welcome response to my blog – apologies for this very late response!!! I am in agreement with your truthful words x
