Well what beautiful weather (sunny and blue skies) we have been having in my part of the U.K. and we are so lucky after all the nasty stormy weather for weeks. It is wonderful to have this respite.
Also seeing the shoots flowering in all the nooks and crannies is so heart warming. I loved seeing them on our way back from a wonderful Creative Meditation weekend at Sundial House (which I thoroughly recommend). This was also heart warming in many unexpected ways.
On the theme of the weather though, some of us may have or are going through stormy times in our life and it is those lovely moments of joy which are so uplifting that give us a break to move beyond what may be happening for us in our world.
I know for me when I feel burdened by events, I can find it difficult to raise my head and see those tender shoots of hope and beauty around me. These are the times (however small or big) that challenge me to face the present of what is actually around in my life.
It is also about awakening my transformational spirit in times of change. Today, I am seeing clearly all the little miracles of nature all causing me to smile with delight.
What I’ve learned is that life can be unfair (whoever said it was!!!) and that we don’t have to take it all so seriously. What is succour for our soul is playing ‘daft’ games round the table and simply laughing with all the fun we are having with one another – getting it right, wrong, going blank, knowing words – true enjoyment.
So I’d like to leave you to ponder on – what is feeding your soul at the moment? And I’d love to hear from you.
hi Irene, I’ve been thinking about your good blog post and what feeds my soul, apart from the wonderful sunshine, is the support and kindness of friends. Thanks for your support over the years.
Hi Zoe, Just back from family visit so apologies for late acknowledgement x And you deserve all the support and kindness you receive from your friends as you are a lovely woman and give much to others. Love irene xx
