NO MORE CHAIN LETTER STYLE THINGS!!!
Before I do my blog for this week, I am starting on the fact that I do not want any more of those chain style things to pass on – candles, hearts, words, cut and paste, with comments or no comments, hands, lights, flowers ………………….. you name it on either my Timeline or through Messenger or anywhere else. I am sure you can add your equivalent ones.
Take me off your list of people to send these kinds of things to as I will not respond so you won’t get your name on my list of top 5, 10 or 15 friends receiving them or receiving them in return!!!
I am now getting them round again!!!
For me, these are the equivalent of those chain letters that used to go around where you will be struck down if you don’t continue sending them on or you will receive money, good health, a lovely surprise ………. If you do. No emotional blackmail there then!!!
No more for me, thank you very much and if you do, then they will be ignored as usual.
L O V E and C O N N E C T I O N
Well then, now that I have got that off my chest, let’s see what my blog will be about this week. Oooh, it’s about Love and Connection!!
How do you express your love? It may be through gratitude itself or it may be through expression in words and/or deeds. It would be good to hear how you do it.
I’m mentioning this today as this past week or so, I have been so touched by others’ responses to me and, you know it doesn’t have to be a big showy thing. It has been expressed by e.g. people sharing my information on my Autumn Workshop (thank you to those who immediately spring to mind Kae Skinner Sera, Rosemary Cunningham, Helen Elisabeth Evans, Stephanie Barrows, Debs Cordery, Sharon Eden – with apologies to those I’ll remember when I’ve finished this!!). Or being welcomed with a smile and a hug on entering a Double Book Launch Celebration – thank you Nicola Huelin, Sarah Parkman, Annelise Pesa, Caroline Ferguson, Ruth Tosin Oshikanlu and others too.
For me, this is love and connection in a very simple way and I am truly grateful – thank you.
Definition
A definition of Connection I love –
‘The feeling of connecting with others, nature and the cosmos is the psychological and emotional basis of mental health – insanity is the consequence of its loss’ (John Gowen, former Cornell Univ. Professor)
In other words, for me, as we lose connection with one another, we forgo our mental health and so that feeling of connection is sorely needed.
You see, you have an opportunity to choose love and connection however and whenever it is expressed.
Therefore, it gives me permission to work in my own way and at my own pace. Oh yes, this can mean that I will say that I don’t want to be part of the ‘in gang’ sending these ‘pass on’ messages as I am choosing who I want to be with and what I want to focus on. And that can include – thanks and no thanks to some things that are a distortion of love and connection.
Go Well.
Well said on the chain letters/emails. In the cases where there is a source I send my own definition of chain letter.
I’m one of those people that find it hard to connect with others. Usually just click with some people. But those that I do tend to stay for life, well so far.
Thanks for taking the time to comment, Sean, and good luck with all your connections xx
