Essex Winning Women
In a nutshell, Essex Winning Women is part of the Global Winning Women organisation started by Allison Marlow. Rosemary Cunningham began the Essex Branch last year and it has been a huge success with fantastic Speakers who share their knowledge, and it also gives us the opportunity to meet other amazing women in the County.
Last night we had Sarah Arrow who, as most of you may be aware, is called the Queen of Blogging. (amongst other things by those who know her!) and who started the world wide‘Birds on the Blog’. She has been listed on umpteen top bloggers’ lists and has also written umpteen books. You can see that here is a woman of great repute in the Social Media arena.
Lights
I’ve brought the matter of the lights in here. Everything was kindly set up by Sarah’s husband, Kevin Arrow. When it was Sarah’s talk which had excellent slides, these couldn’t be seen as the venue’s lights were only On or Off!!! Eventually this was resolved with some creative thinking.
Action
Sarah’s talk was informal, informative, inspirational and included appropriate personal information and a few laughs in there as well. She also pointed out the errors that can be made when we decide to set up our own website as this is what her company, Sarke-Media, does.
Anyway, the outcome was the galvanising into Action of the signing up for an Essex Winning Women 30-day Blogging Challenge.
Yeh, Yeh, – we are going for this big style and being a Scottish Essex Girl now (originally from Glasgow), we’ll be doing it in style!! Watch out there is no stopping us.
